Samsung Galaxy AlphaApple iPhone 6 Plus

While Apple has chosen to experiment on larger screen sizes with the Apple iPhone 6, Samsung has decided that they will replace their all plastic body with a premium metal design on their Samsung Galaxy Alpha. Both handsets offer nearly identical specs and features, so lets see how they compare.

Both the Galaxy Alpha and the iPhone 6 have been priced at $200 on contract, further clarifying their similarities. Samsung is clearly experimenting with a more premium build in an attempt to find Apple's formula for success, and the Galaxy Alpha is a clear alternative for iPhone users looking to switch platforms.

However it is important to note that the iPhone 6 still has the more premium design between the two, and Samsung will eventually bring the design improvements from the Galaxy Alpha over to the Samsung Galaxy S6.

Apple iPhone 6 vs Sony Xperia Z3 - Video Comparison

Apple iPhone 6Sony Xperia Z3

It looks like Apple has finally gotten tired of people complaining about the small screen sizes on its iPhone, and has released two of its largest smartphones to date. The Apple iPhone 6 is a formidable device, but how will it compare against the waterproof chassis, 20 MP camera, and stereo speakers on the Sony Xperia Z3.

The iPhone 6 is more manageable in the hand and easier to fit into your pocket compared to the Xperia Z3. Its 8MP camera even manages to the outperform the 20MP camera on the Xperia Z3, especially for low-light shots. Additionally, the Apple Pay system, iOS ecosystem and the fingerprint scanners definitely add value to the iPhone.

On the other hand with the Xperia Z3 you get a waterproof device with stereo speakers, not to mention the customizable Android ecosystem and the unique PlayStation 4 Remote Playing feature. But the biggest advantage on the Xperia Z3 is its "two-day battery" life, which is the best of its flagship smartphone class.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - Video Comparison

Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs. Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Apple has entered this year's smartphone market with not one, but two new iPhones. The regular iPhone 6 aims to take on other flagship smartphones while the iPhone 6 Plus is Apple first phablet, which aims at devices like the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. While Samsung already has a successor around the corner, lets see how the Apple iPhone 6 Plus and the Galaxy Note 3 compare.

Despite its recent #bendgate issues, the iPhone 6 Plus is a beautifully crafted device with a premium build, bright and accurate screen, and an impressively thin 7.1 mm frame. The Galaxy Note 3 may not aachieve the same wow factor for its plastic body, but it does offer a replaceable battery and a microSD slot.

The iPhone 6 Plus comes with excellent camera, which excels in low-light and video capture, thanks to its large pixels and optical image stabilization (OIS). Samsung offers an equally impressive camera, but OIS is not in the cards for this device.

Apple's phone also supports a record number of LTE bands, for a truly globetrotting experience. Meanwhile Samsung includes features like split-screen multitasking and its one of a kind S Pen experience which sets it a part even in the large screen device category.

Samsung has been dominating the phablet segment for years, and has a well established offering in place. Apple has done an excellent job, in terms of offering a large screen device but needs to allow users to do more with the larger screen real estate.

Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs. LG G3 - Video Comparison

Apple iPhone 6 Plus vs. LG G3

The Apple iPhone 6 Plus broke Apple's historical pattern of building small size devices when it was unveiled with its massive 5.5 inch display. Obviously competitors have crossed this display size already, so lets compare Apple's flagship with the LG G3 and see how they stack up.

The LG G3 is a beast of  a device with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a 13 megapixel OIS camera, a 3000mAh battery and quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. Interestingly Apple's iPhone 6 Plus is significantly larger in size despite having the same 5.5 inch display size. While it is taller and heavier than LG's flagship, the iPhone is slimmer at 7.1 mm compared to the 8.9mm thick LG G3.

While the Apple supposedly has the more premium material with its aluminum frame, the polycarbonate body of the LG G3 has a visually metallic finish which makes it look extremly beautiful and it has not faced the famous #bendgate issues Apple's large iPhone has recently come to be known for.

While the LG G3 has the better camera on paper, the iPhone 6 Plus is known to perform better when put to the test. The LG G3, on the other hand, can almost pass for a large smartphone, not a phablet, thanks to its compact dimensions, and its Quad HD screen is a beauty if you can find content suited for it. Despite that high pixel density, the LG G3 also essentially ties with the iPhone 6 Plus in terms of battery life – an important stalemate for it, as that could have easily decided the face-off.

If picking is still hard, you could consider your ecosystem of choice. Apple's iOS performs smoothly and day-to-day tasks and apps are a pleasure to use on the iPhone 6 Plus. While LG has done an amazing job with their themed Android version, the bulk of apps on Android may feel a little slower to the end user. At the end of the day the most important deciding factor may be the price, as the LG G3 is now a significantly cheaper that the iPhone 6 Plus.

Apple iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5 - Video Comparison

Apple iPhone 6 vs. Samsung Galaxy S5

The battle between Apple and Samsung have been going on for years now and size has historically been the main differentiator between the company's flagships. This year the Apple iPhone 6 plans to take its competitors head on with a larger display size, so how will it fare against the Samsung Galaxy S5.

In term of features, both smartphones have a lot to offer. However there is also alot that sets the two apart from each other – the iPhone 6, for example, has a more attractive design on the whole and is also an incredible performer that handles both everyday tasks and the most heaviest of apps with absolute ease, which is impressive. Its screen is also brighter and more accurate, delivering true-to-life colors, unlike the Samsung Galaxy S5. The Galaxy S5 comes with a larger display, which is better-suited for media consumption, and there's simply no denying the Galaxy S5 offers superior battery life. Even though Samsung's flagship feels less premium in the hand, it is quite practical, with a body that is also waterproofed.

Last, but not least, let's not forget that choosing between the two also comes down to a pick between two different ecosystems – iOS and Android – and that, more than anything, should give you the justification you need to pick either before the other.

Apple iPhone 6 vs. HTC One M8 - Video Comparison

Apple iPhone 6 vs. HTC One M8

The Apple iPhone 6 is here, and the question on many of our minds is if it is worth picking up Apple's newest flagship instead of one of its competitors. The HTC One M8 will easily step out as one of the iPhone's largest competitors, thanks to its stellar design and easy to use Android experience. So lets see how they compare.

When you pick up an iPhone, you generally get your money's worth due to the beautifully crafted handset. HTC has followed the same formula for their One M8 and the result is impressive. But the iPhone 6 is definitely the more compact one with its slim and lightweight construction. The M8 might be larger and heavier, but its offers a bigger screen with higher resolution and a pair of great front-facing speakers.

Taking the potent hardware specs of these phones into account, it is safe to say that both the HTC One (M8) and the iPhone 6 will be relevant for at least a couple more years. The two are definitely capable of handling their respective operating systems with ease, delivering a hassle-free user experience.

In terms of cameras, both have unique offering. Though the 8MP camera on the iPhone 6 may produce better results than the 4MP UltraPixel Duo camera setup on the One M8. If you take a lot of selfies, however, the 5MP front-facing camera on the One M8 should produce better results.
