Not everyone is looking for the newest and most expensive smartphone in the market. Savvy consumers are always on the lookout for great deals on older mid-range and high-end models. Walmart is currently offering the LG v30+ from 2017 at an affordable $369.99.

The LG V30+ is quite a powerful smartphone, featuring a 6.0-inch display, up to 128GB of internal storage with microSD expansion, dual (16MP+13MP) rear cameras, a 5-megapixel front camera, a 3300mAh battery, fingerprint scanner and a Snapdragon 835 chipset with 4GB of RAM.

Walmart is offering free shipping nationwide at no additional cost, but you can save an extra $3.70 on your purchase if you opt for in-store pickup. This brings the price of the LG V30+ down to an all-time low of $366.29.

Customers who purchase the iPhone 7 (32GB) from Walmart with its Family Mobile prepaid service can get the handset for only $299. Walmart Family is a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that uses T-Mobile's nationwide network.

Keep in mind that the iPhone 7 is not unlocked and will require you to buy the Family Mobile service starting at $29.88 per month. That will get you unlimited talk, text, and data (only the first 3 GB of data are on 4G LTE) every month, and after 12 months of active usage, you can unlock your device and switch networks if you wish.

The Apple iPhone 7 features a 4.7 inch LCD display, up to 256GB of internal storage, a 12MP rear camera, a 7-megapixel front camera, a TouchID fingerprint scanner and an Apple A10 Fusion chip with 2GB of RAM. Additionally, the handset has an IP67 rating which allows it to be submerged up to 1meter for up to 30 minutes.

Currently, Walmart only has the Gold and Silver iPhone 7 variants in stock, so you're out of luck if you are looking for the Black or Rose Gold versions.

In any case, this is a decent deal on both the phone and service plan. Apple and most carriers offer the 32GB iPhone 7 for $449, which makes this a $149 savings on your iPhone.

The LG V30+ is a powerful Android smartphone which launched a little over a year ago, which has aged gracefully, offering itself as a viable option for customers looking for a good deal. Currently, Walmart is offering the unlocked version for $379.99 while Best Buy has the Sprint variant on sale for only $69.84.

The unlocked version available at Walmart supports AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and Sprint networks. It comes in 'Aurora Black' and includes free shipping on your purchase. While paying the full price for a smartphone could be somewhat costly, in this case, you are getting your money's worth.


The deal on Best Buy involves a monthly installment plan and bill credits. Best Buy is even throwing in an additional $50 discount. So in order to get the Sprint variant of the handset, you will have to make 24-monthly payments of $2.91 to cover its $69.84 cost. You will get a $10 monthly bill credit applied to your account over that period of two years.

If you wish to pay the cost of the LG V30 upfront at Best Buy, you can make a one-time payment of $360 and activate the device on the same day, or $397.99 if you wish to activate it at a later time.

Purchasing Apple hardware can be quite costly, but savvy shoppers know that purchasing refurbished products can be a great way to save some money during the expensive shopping season. Walmart currently has a deal on a certified refurbished MacBook Air 11.6-inch for only $319.65.

Walmart promises that their certified refurbished electronics can stack up to the same device fresh out of the box. Each device is inspected, cleaned, tested, and repaired to work as well as a new product and qualify as a Grade-A device before going back out on sale.

You shouldn't notice any difference when it comes to performance and all the accessories should be right there as if you got it new. Walmart does admit that there can be occasional physical marks that can't be removed, like scratches or possible scuffs. But they are diligent and thorough enough with testing and repairing the MacBook's internal hardware to ensure that it won't affect general performance, which is what matters in the end.

On the Apple website, the cheapest MacBook Air is priced at $999, while Apple's own refurbished units go for $849. What's more, Apple doesn't even offer the 11.6-inch model anymore.

The MacBook Air at Walmart packs a 128GB SSD storage and a 1.3GHz Intel Core i5-4250U Dual-Core Processor with 4GB of RAM. SSD storage in case you are wondering is much faster and more durable than the standard HDD hard drives, making it the most practical type of storage for ultra-portable devices like this MacBook Air.
