HTC U12+ receives software update with improvements to camera zoom and Edge Sense

The HTC U12+ is receiving a new software update which brings some new software refinements along improvements to the device camera. The update should be rolling out globally, but users in Taiwan are reportedly among the first to see the update appear on their handsets.

Meet the HTC One A9, a second flagship for 2015, following the less-than-successful HTC One M9 which launched earlier this year. Instead of making their new flagship more powerful than its predecessor, HTC has aimed to improve the user experience this time around.

Google Nexus 9 receives Android 5.1 Lollipop

Having only just released the Android 5.0.2 update for the Google Nexus 9, the company didn't waste much time updating their flagship tablet to Android 5.1 Lollipop, their newest version of their mobile operating system.

Google has sent out a tweet, announcing that the Android 5.1 update is now being rolled out for the Nexus 9, but failed to specify which which version of the tablet will be receiving the update. Hopefully the update is rolling out to both Wi-Fi only and the LTE versions will be updated at the same time.

HTC One M8 Google Play edition receives Android 5.1 update

With many Nexus devices already receiving the Android 5.1 Lollipop update, Google has shifted its focus to its Google Play edition (GPe) stable. Last week we saw the Motorola Moto G GPe receive the update, followed by the LG G Pad 8.3 GPe and today the HTC One M8 Google Play edition has started to receive the latest version of Android.

With Lollipop your handset will receive a new notifications feature for the lock screen, the new "Recent Apps" menu, the Lollipop Material Design, the 64-bit ART compiler (making your apps load faster), Project Volta for better battery life and more.

The Google Nexus 9 is being is being offered at $75 off through Best Buy. The 16GB variant of the HTC built tablet costs $325, while the 32GB model costs $405.The tablets are available in either Lunar White or Indigo Black and usually costs $400 or $480 on Google Play.

HTC BlinkFeed updated with Theme support and renamed to Sense Home

HTC BlinkFeed for Android has been updated with several new features, including support for themes and has been renamed to HTC Sense Home for Android. HTC introduced themes with the HTC One M9, allowing users to create custom themes in order to give their phone a personal touch.

HTC One E9+ officially announced with 5.5 inch Quad HD display and MediaTek processor

HTC has officially unveiled the HTC One E9+ for Asian markets. This Android smartphone offers high end hardware but comes with a plastic finish similar to the HTC Desire 816, instead of the all-aluminum unibody design found on the HTC One M9.

Buy the unlocked HTC One M9 directly from HTC for $649

As promised, the HTC One M9 pre-orders have gone live and you can now purchase either the unlocked or developer edition of the HTC One M9 directly from HTC for $649. The unlocked and developer edition One M9 should work on just about any GSM/LTE carrier, but HTC hasn't listed the specific bands for this device anywhere I can see. The only difference between the developer and unlocked devices should be the unlocked bootloader on the former.

HTC has announced that you will be able to pre-order the HTC One M9 on March 27 at midnight (12:01AM). You can pick one up at various retailers and carriers when the device is officially launched on April 10th, as previously announced.
