AirPods 5 bring Active Noise Cancellation to Apple’s standard open-ear AirPods. Apple says the new design removes up to 50 percent more external noise than AirPods 4 with ANC, while offering improved Transparency mode, Adaptive Audio, Conversation Awareness, Live Translation, and hands-free Siri AI access.

Apple iOS 12.1.3 released
The improvements in this release were initially meant to be a part of iOS 12.1.1 and 12.1.2 but had to be pushed back to satisfy the demands made by a Chinese court over the alleged infringement of Qualcomm Inc. patents.
The official changelog from Apple reads as follows:
- Fixes an issue in Messages that could impact scrolling through photos in the Details view
- Addresses an issue where photos could have striped artifacts after being sent from the Share Sheet
- Fixes an issue that may cause audio distortion when using external audio input devices on iPad Pro (2018)
- Resolves an issue that could cause certain CarPlay systems to disconnect from iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max
- Fixes an issue that could cause HomePod to restart
- Addresses an issue that could cause Siri to stop listening
The update will be pushed to all compatible iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch devices OTA (over-the-air) and you will receive an update notification when it is available for your device. You could also manually update on your device by heading to Settings > General > Software Update.
Advanced users who prefer a clean installation of iOS could consider downloading the IPSW files and installing the update on their device using iTunes.

Apple iPhone turns eight
Its been 8 years ago, today (January 9, 2007), Apple's then CES Steve Jobs first unveiled the iPhone, at the Macworld Conference & Expo in Moscone West in San Francisco, California.
After quickly walking through Apple's position on the market and updating the attendees about everything Cupertino-related, Jobs' signature "one more thing" mantra teased not one, but three new devices - a "widescreen iPod with touch controls", a "revolutionary mobile phone", and a "breakthrough Internet communicator".
Well it turned out that it wasn't three devices after all, but the one and only Apple iPhone.
Back in the day, the iPhone was unique. Smartphones of that era were clunky devices, with tiny screens sharing space with large keyboards. Obviously the iPhone itself has evolved over the year's learning as much as it taught over the years.
Whether we love it, hate it, or love to hate it, the iPhone ushered in a new era of smartphones and a new way for people to interact with their mobile devices.
Sure it has its flaws, but the iPhone set the wheels of the smartphone industry in motion and led to putting the power of a computer into the palm of our hands..
