Samsung Galaxy Note Edge for T-Mobile receives Android 5.0.2 update
Last week we saw T-Mobile pushing out the Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Today the uncarrier has announced that the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge is also being updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop.The update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) and is 1.1GB in size, but you can only download the update on your device using WiFi and not using your data connection.
The update will bring Android 5.0.2 to your Galaxy Note Edge, with the N915TUVU1COD7 baseband version. Since such updates are rolled out in stages, expect it to take a few days before it is available for your device. You can try manually checking for your update by heading to Settings > About Device > Software Update.
You can also download the update directly from T-Mobile's website and follow the provided instructions to install Android 5.0.2 to your device. You will find both the download link and instructions by following the source link below.
Android Lollipop will bring a number of new features and improvements to your handset, including a new version of Samsung TouchWiz user interface that follows Google's Material Design principles. You also get improved lockscreen notifications, and the new Smart Lock feature that allows you to unlock your Note 4 Edge with an Android Wear smartwatch. Lollipop also brings the new 64-bit ART compiler which offers improved performance and battery life improvements courtesy of Project Volta.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note Edge on U.S. Cellular receive Android 5.0 Lollipop
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on U.S. Cellular are now receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. The update is being rolled out to users OTA (over-the-air), but can also be downloaded through your computer using Samsung Kies.
Since OTA updates are sent out in waves, it may be a few days before it is available for your device. If you are planning on waiting for the OTA update, U.S. Cellular is requesting that you use a Wi-Fi connection while downloading and installing it to avoid unnecessary data charges. It is also recommended that you ensure your battery is appropriately charged before initiating the update.
The update brings Android 5.0.1 along with a Material Design inspired update to the interface which gives a fresh and colorful vibe. Also included is Lock Screen notifications and Smart Lock, which allows you to unlock your phone by pairing it with a "Trusted Device" like an Android Wear powered smartwatch. You also get a 64-bit ART compiler lets apps open faster, Project Volta for improved battery life, and a new "Recent Apps" for improved multitasking.

How to install Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Galaxy Note Edge
- Download (mirror) the firmware file and extract the files. You can find mirror links for the download on the source.
- Download Odin v3.09
- Extract Odin zip-file, and open Odin v3.09
- Reboot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
- Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
- Add the firmware file to AP / PDA
- Make sure re-partition is NOT ticked
- Click the start button, sit back and wait a few minutes

The device will cost you $399.99 with a two-year contract, which is around the same price the other carriers are charging for the handset. AT&T is offering the Galaxy Note Edge for $399.99 on contract, which is $100 more than the asking price of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. If you choose the carrier's Next installment plans, you can get it on Next 12 at $47.30 per month for 20 months, Next 18 at $39.42 per month for 24 months or Next 24 at 31.54 per month for 30 months. If you want to get the device sans contract, be ready to plan out $945.99.
Sprint is charging $429.99 for the Galaxy Note Edge with a two-year contract. But if you are getting it through the carrier's Easy Pay installments, it will cost you $35 per-month for 24 months with $0 down. That totals to $840, which is $100 lesser than what AT&T is asking.
Since T-Mobile doesn't tie you down to a contract, you don't get a subsidized price from he un-carrier. However you can get the device for $36.35 per month for 24 months, which totals to $870.

T-Mobile has also confirmed the pricing and availability of the Galaxy Note Edge, which will available on its network starting November 14. You can purchase the new smartphone for $0 down (and $36.25/month for 24 months) online and in participating stores nationwide.
