While most customers are likely waiting for the release of the BlackBerry 10.3 update, the company has starting rolling on the BlackBerry OS 10.2.2 (more specifically software version 10.2.2.932, version 10.2.2.1531) to devices in Germany and surrounding regions. While no specific information is available on what the update has to offer other than that it covers security enhancements for some Enterprise customers with specific requirements.

• Applications – No more limits on the number of applications that can run in the background.
• 64GB Support – Now with support for 64GB (or higher) SD Cards.
• Enhancements to Bluetooth, Media and Browser amongst other improvements.

• Night mode: Browsing the web on a bright mobile screen at night can feel a bit like looking into the sun. Opera Mini 8 includes a night mode that dims the effects of an ouch-that's-bright screen, using darker colors that are easy on your eyes. You can enable it in the Settings menu.
• Improved savings reports: Need to keep track of how much you surf? The new and improved data-savings page lets you monitor and adjust how you save data, such as setting the quality of images, all in the same place — no detour into Settings needed. All your surfing is squeezed down to as little as 10% of its original size, so, if you are on a bad connection or paying for data as you go, Opera Mini 8 will keep you online longer.
• Private mode: Need to lend your mobile to a friend for Facebook or Gmail checking? Opera Mini 8 now supports private tabs that don’t save information once the open tab is closed. That way, you can stay logged in on your main window, while your friend checks out his or her account in a private tab.

• Click Options icon on your device homescreen and select About.

1. Download the latest BlackBerry OS software
   
   • Check with your wireless carrier website for updates.
   • Unofficial releases may be available through various sources on the web
     [NOTE] A pre-release or unofficial version of BlackBerry OS can cause data loss or device malfunction. Your device may be bricked (unusable) as a result, in which case you can read our guide on How to re-install BlackBerry OS on a bricked device.
2. Download the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Manager
   
   • Mac
   • Windows
3. Run your BlackBerry OS software file (.exe) you downloaded
   
   • Click Next on the installation wizard which appears
   • Accept the terms of service
   • When you are asked to Start BlackBerry Desktop, Select Yes and then Finish 
4. When the BlackBerry Desktop Software opens
   
   • Connect your device to your computer through the USB cable
   • Wait for the software to search for application updates for your device
   • Once completed select 'Update now' and you will see a list of applications.
   • Now select Options, under and make sure that 'Backup Device Data Automatically During the Installation Process' is selected.
     
   • Now select Advancedand select the application you want installed with the new OS.
   • Finally select Next, and then Finish.
   • You will now have a few minutes to wait for the update to complete.
5. Once the process is completed the device will switch on and connect to the carrier network.
6. Close Desktop Manager, disconnect your BlackBerry device and you are ready to go.

1. Open BlackBerry Desktop Manager Software.

• Select the Application Loader icon on the Desktop Manager home-screen.
• Then click the Start box on the right side of the screen beneath Update Applications. 
• The Software will try to search and install updates.
• Now select Advanced and select the application you want installed with the new OS.

• Download and install the latest version of BlackBerry Desktop Software on your computer
• Download the most recent official version of the BlackBerry OS software for your bricked device

• Go to C: > Program Files > Common Files >Research In Motion > AppLoader Where C is the drive you have installed your Windows operating system.
  
• Double Click and run 'Loader' and click Next.
  
• Connect your BlackBerry device to your computer using the USB cable
  
• When COM1 changes to USB-PIN:UNKNOWN immediately click Next
  
  
• Select what you want to install on your BlackBerry (BlackBerry Messenger, BlackBerry Maps etc.)
  
• Click Next and then Finish and wait for your device to be restored.
  
• Once completed you will see 'The loading operating was successful' and the device will reboot.
  
• Rebooting can take some time (10-15 mins) so unplug your device and wait for it to boot up.
  
• Once you boot back up you can restore a device back up (if you have one) using the BlackBerry Desktop Software.
