The Sony Xperia Z1 and the Sony Xperia Z Ultra are now receiving a new firmware update which gives users the ability to tweak their respective device's white balance among other features and improvements. The update is being pushed out OTA (over-the-air) in phases, but can be alternatively downloaded though Sony's PC Companion Suite.

The update also brings improvements to Bluetooth streaming, along with improvements to e-mail and Wi-Fi. As expected the update is also said to bring minor bug fixes and performance improvements.

The update is also expected to arrive on the Sony Xperia Z1 compact, but there is no news on if and when it will arrive. Meanwhile Sony is also expected to be working on the Android 4.4 KitKat update, which is rumored to arrive somewhere between late January and early February for new Xperia devices.
