[Guide] How to Jailbreak iOS 4.1 with PwnAgeTool 4.1 for Mac

Quick take: PwnageTool 4.1 lets you jailbreak iOS 4.1 devices while preserving your baseband, making it possible to unlock your iPhone for use on other carriers.

The Dev Team has released PwnageTool 4.1, bringing jailbreak support for iOS 4.1 across a wide range of Apple devices. This includes the iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPod Touch (3rd and 4th generation), iPad, and even Apple TV 2G.

Jailbreaking opens up your device, allowing you to install apps and tweaks that are normally restricted within Apple’s ecosystem.
