The beta version of Facebook for Windows Phone was updated to version 5.2.3.1, a minor release following version 5.2.2.2 which had arrived just the week before. The update brought a small but notable addition in the form of a new custom notification sound, alongside the usual round of bug fixes.
It is worth noting that the new notification sound could not be changed by the user, which was a point of contention for some at the time. Beyond that and the bug fixes, version 5.2.3.1 was a maintenance release rather than a feature update.
