Facebook updated its iOS app to version 3.5, bringing a meaningful set of improvements to sharing, profiles, and performance. Facebook for iOS let you stay connected with friends on the go, and this release made the sharing experience significantly more capable.
Sharing Improvements
Version 3.5 added the ability to tag friends and places directly in posts, and you can now share external links from within a web view without leaving the app. Profile and Group Walls received a new design, and the sharing tool was updated to include privacy controls on posts, matching the behaviour of your settings on the Facebook website.
Bug Fixes and Performance
Notifications load faster in this release, and a bug that caused the Notifications bar to disappear has been fixed. Several Chat bugs were resolved, selecting filters in the News Feed is now easier, and a number of Photos bugs were also addressed. Overall performance and stability were improved across the board.
