[Android app] Google Camera updated (2.3) with remote shutter through Android Wear

Google Camera for AndroidGoogle Camera for Android has been updated to version 2.3 which brings back several features and improvements. The main new feature is connected to Google's Android Wear, and we assume that this is the first of many Google's apps which will eventually support its wearable device platform.

You can download the update directly on your device through the Google Play Store or by using the following link:

The biggest addition is the remote shutter feature, which allows you to use your Android Wear smartwatch to take a picture with your smartphone camera. Obviously this is useful for those who want to mount their smartphone on a tripod and not have to rely on the timer for their photos. Once you have captured your photo, it will be previews on your smartwatch, in case you want a retake.

The update also tweaks the UI for panoramas and photo spheres which makes the alignment dots bigger and easier to see. The new version of Google Camera for Android will roll out in stages, and it maybe awhile before the update is available for your device on the Google Play Store.
