LG G Flex for T-Mobile receives Android 4.4 KitKat software update

LG G Flex for Sprint
The LG G Flex for T-Mobile is now reportedly receiving the Android 4.4 KitKat software update starting today. The update includes a number of features and improvements, including the Knock Code device unlocking feature.  You also receive support for a battery-saving location mode, and support for Google Cloud Printer.

On the G Flex's update support page, T-Mobile lists the update as Android 4.4.3. Considering that the Sprint G Flex just received Android 4.4.2 last week, this is probably a typo. Both versions of the handset are making the transition from an aging build of Android 4.2.2.

As we have seen with other devices updated to KitKat, overall performance should be improved with faster execution to run programs, and a quicker web-browsing experience. The update is being pushed in phases, keep a look-out for Android build D95920d..

Once you do receive the update notification, make sure that your battery is fully charged and that you are connected to Wi-Fi in order to avoid data charges.
