HTC One E9+ officially announced with 5.5 inch Quad HD display and MediaTek processor
HTC has officially unveiled the HTC One E9+ for Asian markets. This Android smartphone offers high end hardware but comes with a plastic finish similar to the HTC Desire 816, instead of the all-aluminum unibody design found on the HTC One M9.

The HTC One E9+ is an Android smartphone which features a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 20 megapixel rear camera, a 4 megapixel Ultrapixel front camera, and a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with 3GB of RAM.

HTC has announced that you will be able to pre-order the HTC One M9 on March 27 at midnight (12:01AM). You can pick one up at various retailers and carriers when the device is officially launched on April 10th, as previously announced.

HTC has scheduled an event for today, which will take place in Seattle in the U.S., and HTC Americas president Jason Mackenzie is said to be hosting. The event is expected to start at 12 NOON ET, but there is no indication on what the manufacturer plans to unveil during the proceedings.

HTC One M9 officially launches on March 16

Today HTC announced that its new flagship, the HTC One M9 will be released early next week on March 16. The company's home country, Taiwan will be the first to sample the device, after which it should reach other markets around the world.

The Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer may also be planning to unveil a Chinese version of Sense, or the the HTC One M9 Plus.

Interestingly, HTC says that the Approximate Retail Value (ARV) of a HTC One M9 is $599, which may be the official (unlocked) price of the handset when it launches in the US.

After months of speculation and leaks, the HTC One M9 has finally been made official. There was not much of a surprise when HTC unveiled their new flagship, because of all the leaked information, but there was still enough to complete the picture of what will be known as the new One.

HTC MWC 2015 Event
HTC has scheduled an event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, which is scheduled to take place on March 1st, 10:00am ET (7:00am PT). The event is titled "Let them Stare" and will be live webcast around the world. You can watch the stream right here, after the break.
