HTC One E9+ officially announced with 5.5 inch Quad HD display and MediaTek processor

HTC has officially unveiled the HTC One E9+ for Asian markets. This Android smartphone offers high end hardware but comes with a plastic finish similar to the HTC Desire 816, instead of the all-aluminum unibody design found on the HTC One M9.

The HTC One E9+ is an Android smartphone which features a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 20 megapixel rear camera, a 4 megapixel Ultrapixel front camera, and a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek processor with 3GB of RAM.

HTC One M9 - Buy NowAs promised, the HTC One M9 pre-orders have gone live and you can now purchase either the unlocked or developer edition of the HTC One M9 directly from HTC for $649. The unlocked and developer edition One M9 should work on just about any GSM/LTE carrier, but HTC hasn't listed the specific bands for this device anywhere I can see. The only difference between the developer and unlocked devices should be the unlocked bootloader on the former.

The dates listed on the invites show that whatever HTC is inviting the media to, it will run from March 11th through March 17th.

The Taiwan based smartphone manufacturer may also be planning to unveil a Chinese version of Sense, or the the HTC One M9 Plus.

HTC MWC 2015 Event

HTC has scheduled an event at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2015, which is scheduled to take place on March 1st, 10:00am ET (7:00am PT). The event is titled "Let them Stare" and will be live webcast around the world. You can watch the stream right here, after the break.
