Huawei Nova 4 announced with in-display camera

The Huawei Nova 4 was unveiled today as the second smartphone to feature in-display camera technology. Huawei’s device is offered in vibrant colors, with a glass and metal design, and a powerful camera setup.

The Huawei Nova 4 features a 6.4-inch display with a 2310 by 1080 pixel resolution. The front camera hole is punched on its top left side similar to what we saw on the Samsung Galaxy A8s. While the front is mostly all display, you do have a small chin at the bottom giving the device a height of 157mm.
The highlight of the Huawei Nova 4 is its cameras. You get a 25-megapixel sensor with a f/2.0 aperture packed in front with the usual AI enhancements. On the rear, you can a triple camera setup with two different options – a 48-megapixel lens with a f/1.8 aperture combined with a 16MP and 2MP setup, and a cheaper 20MP, 16MP and 2MP combination.

Other specs include 128GB of internal storage, a fingerprint scanner on the rear and a Kirin 970 chipset with 8GB of RAM. The Nova 4 packs a 3750mAh battery, bringing the total weight of the handset to only 172 grams.
On the software side, you get a customized version of Android 9.0 Pie.
You can purchase the Nova 4 in red, blue, white, and black for roughly $450 in China, while the higher-end model will cost you around $490. While we do expect the handset will eventually be offered in Europe, we don’t think US customers will get to purchase it directly.
