Changes in EMUI 9 include a new password manager that auto-fills passwords using ID verification from the fingerprint scanner or via facial recognition. The number of items in the settings menu are reduced by nearly 100 to 843, and new gesture controls will help users quickly navigate, multitask and open the AI assistant.

GPU Turbo 2.0 reduces the touch response (or latency) by 36% and adds a new app assistant. Four more games will be supported by the feature: Vainglory, Arena of Valor, Rules of Survival, and NBA 2K18. The four join PUBG and Mobile Legends: Bang Bang as carrying support for the second generation version of GPU Turbo.
