While the original Google Pixel XL may not have the 18:9 display aspect ratio or the smart squeeze feature it still packs some impressive hardware. It is important to point out that Android Pie will be the last official major release that Google has planned for the Pixel XL, even though you will still receive monthly security patches for at least another year.
