The Samsung Galaxy S6 edge for T-Mobile is now receiving the Android 5.1.1 software update. The most anticipated feature on the update is a bug fix that is supposed to eliminate a memory leak that has afflicted Nexus handsets since Android 5.0 was pushed out.
The update will be pushed out in stages, so it may be a few days before the update is available for your handset. When you do receive the OTA notification, make sure your battery is appropriately (at least 50%) charged, and that you are connected to WiFi to avoid unnecessary data charges.
A video has been posted online, showing the handset running Android 5.1.1. According to reports, the Galaxy S6 edge runs a lot snapper after being updated. Please leave us a comment and let us know if your handset has received the update.
