While Huawei wasn’t willing to divulge too much about their Huawei P8 Lite, the company did unveil a larger companion for the Huawei P8 in the form of the Huawei P8 Max. The handset features an extra large display, which takes it near the tablet territory and Huawei clearly emphasizes on this by saying it is a smartphone that is “Much bigger than bigger!”

The Huawei P8 Max comes with a generous 6.8 inch 1080p display and is clearly meant to compete against the Apple iPhone 6 Plus. Despite its large screen, the P8 Max is essentially a larger version of the Huawei P8 flagship, retaining many of its internal specification including its slim premium build. It features a thickness of 6.8mm, despite packing an appropriately huge battery. In fact Huawei claims its the thinnest large screen smartphone, but they seem to have forgotten the Sony Xperia Z Ultra, which had a 6.5mm thin frame.

Other specs include 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 13MP rear camera, a 5MP front camera and a 64-bit octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 935 processor with 3GB of RAM. In addition to its impressive size and build, Huawei boasts that the P8 Max offers 2.23 days of “normal usage” on a single charge, courtesy of its 4360 mAh battery. The handset also boasts an elaborate 7 layer structure for enhanced heat dispersion.
