Besides unveiling a brand new Apple MacBook with Retina, the company also announced refreshed versions of the MacBook Air and the 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina. Both models will feature processor upgrades, while certain models will also gain the Force Touch trackpad which debuted on the new MacBook.
With the introduction of the new MacBook, the once proud MacBook Air is suddenly left feeling like its chunky cousin. Still the notebook now offers an entry level option for someone looking to get into the Mac OS family of notebooks.
The upgrade offers Intel's fifth generation i5 and i7 processors, as well as Thunderbolt 2 ports for the MacBook Air. The 13 inch model also gets faster flash memory, along with Intel HD Graphics 6000.
The 13 inch MacBook Pro with Retina also receives the Intel fifth generation i5 and i7 processors, along with the Thunderbolt 2 ports. The MacBook Pro also benefits from the Force Touch trackpad, and upgraded graphics in the form of Intel's HD Graphics 6000 and Iris Pro.
