The Xiaomi Redmi 2 is a popular alternative to the Apple iPhone 6 in the Chinese market, but the manufacturer has decided to offer a new Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced Edition which offers twice the storage and RAM.
This means the handset will retain its 4.7 inch display with 720 x 1280 pixel resolution, 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front camera, microSD, a 2200mAh battery, 1.2GHz quad-core 64-bit Snapdragon 410 processor and Adreno 306 graphics. However you now get 16GB of internal storage, compared to the 8GB on the original model and 2GB of RAM instead of the 1GB. On the software front you get Android 4.4.4 with the MIUI 6.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2 Enhanced Edition is expected to go on sale during Xiaomi Spring Festival which takes part from February 13th through February 25th, before the Chinese New Year, and will be priced at the equivalent of $128 USD
