Samsung has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for its Galaxy S5, and the European version (SM-G900F). The official OTA (over-the-air) update is rolling out to devices in Poland as we speak and is expected to arrive on other devices across Europe soon.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 is one of the company's first devices to be updated to Lollipop, and is being updated even ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play edition. Unfortunately there is no word on when the update will reach the US. But we should get our hands on it as soon as the carriers have completed their evaluation.
One the Galaxy S5 rollout is firmly underway, Samsung will likely shift their focus on to the Galaxy Note 4 and some of their older and lower-tier devices.
We have already seen what the update will look like on the Galaxy S5, but we welcome comments from all those who have recently installed the update.
