After releasing a beta version of HERE Maps for Android, Nokia has now released the final version on the Google Play Store. The app is free to download and provides Android users with complete offline navigation, up-to-date info on public transportation, turn-by-turn voice navigation and a wide array of other features.

You can download the app directly on your Android device through the Google Play Store or by using the following link

Keep in mind that it maybe awhile before the final version of HERE Maps for Android appears on the Google Play Store. If the above link points to the beta version, you could choose to install it and wait a few days for the final version to appear.

HERE Maps for Android was initially released as an exclusive to Samsung devices. After that Nokia opened the beta version to a wider audience by releasing the APK on their website. This was followed by a beta version on the Google Play Store which leads to the public release.

Apart from arriving on Google Play, HERE Beta also adds navigation support for plenty of new countries (Algeria, Angola, Bangladesh, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, Cyprus, Iraq, Libya, Mauritania, Mauritius, Nepal, Paraguay, Saint Helena, Senegal, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Zambia, Zimbabwe), though these countries have not been fully-mapped just yet.

The team behind the app also revealed that its much-anticipated iOS version will be available on Apple's App Store sometime in early 2015.
