Google has released the second developer preview of Android M for the Nexus 5, Nexus 6, Nexus 9 and the Nexus Player. Developers can download and install new system images on their compatible Nexus devices and keep their apps up to date with the changes that will be introduced to Google’s mobile operating system down the road.

Frankly, most users who have been interested in trying out the email client have probably already got hold of an invite, but dropping the invite system is a welcome announcement, which will allow just anyone with a supported Android device to can now try Inbox out.

Google Nexus 9 receives Android 5.1 LollipopHaving only just released the Android 5.0.2 update for the Google Nexus 9, the company didn't waste much time updating their flagship tablet to Android 5.1 Lollipop, their newest version of their mobile operating system.

Google has sent out a tweet, announcing that the Android 5.1 update is now being rolled out for the Nexus 9, but failed to specify which which version of the tablet will be receiving the update. Hopefully the update is rolling out to both Wi-Fi only and the LTE versions will be updated at the same time.

As you may know, Google has started rolling out the Android 5.1.1 OTA updates for the Wi-Fi only models of the Google Nexus 7 (2012) and the Google Nexus 7 (2013) along with the Google Nexus 10. You can wait for the OTA update or use the following link to download the OTA and sideload it to your Nexus device.
You can also download Android 5.1.1 Factory Images for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 if you have rooted or customized your device and wish to revert back to stock Android.

Google Nexus 9 receives Android 5.0.2 updateGoogle's flagship Android tablet, the Nexus 9 is finally receiving the Android 5.0.2 update. Keep in mind that Google is already rolling out the Android 5.1.1 update to older devices like the Nexus 7 and Nexus 10, so its strange to see their top tablet being sidelined from the latest versions of Android.

Android 5.0.2 is a relatively minor update, aimed at fixing bugs and weighing only 23.3MB in size. Its not really clear why Google has struggled to offer the newest updates to the Nexus 9 in a more timely manner.
