You can now order meals directly from a Google search result

You can now order meals directly from a Google search result

Google search has a new feature that will allow you to look for a restaurant and then let you order from that eatery directly from the search result.

The meal gets delivered straight to your door. The "Place an order" prompt will only appear when you search for a local eatery. Tapping on that will bring up a selection of delivery services that operate in your area. Choose one and you will be taken to the appropriate website.

Currently, there are six delivery services in the U.S. that you will be able to choose from. Those six are Seamless, Grubhub, Eat24, Delivery.com, BeyondMenu and MyPizza.com. Google says that it will be adding more delivery firms in the future. That is important because with more delivery firms, the feature will cover more restaurants in the U.S. giving you more of a choice from where to order from.
