LG schedules April 28th event, likely for LG G4 announcement

LG schedules April 28th event

Samsung and HTC have already unveiled their flagships for 2015, and it looks like LG is set to do the same. The South Korean company just sent out “save the date” emails announcing an event on April 28th.

On the front of the invites, LG says to See The Great, Feel The Great. The event will be held in New York, London, Paris, Seoul, Singapore and Istanbul. Because of the time difference, it will actually be April 29th in the latter three countries when the event starts.

The LG G4 is rumored to be the highlight of the event. However the company is also expected to unveil an LG G4 Note sometime during the course of this year to take on Samsung’s phablets. LG’s phablet is also expected to feature a stylus similar to the S Pen.

The LG G4 is expected to feature a 1440 x 2560 pixel QHD display, similar to the one found on the LG G3. It may however be powered by a Snapdragon 808 chipset instead of the Snapdragon 810, which may be reserved for the LG G4 Note. The Snapdrgaon 808 features Adreno 418 graphics with a 64-bit hexa-core CPU with four ARM Cortex-A53 cores and two ARM Cortex-A57 cores.

All this should be confirmed on April 28th, along with any other questions you may have regarding LG’s high-end model lineup for this year.
