The HTC One M8 Google Play Edition was released this year and is a variant of the HTC One M8. It comes with a 5 inch full 1080p HD display, up to 32GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, twin 4 megapixel rear UltraPixel cameras, a secondary 5MP font facing camera for video calls and a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2GB of RAM.

Both handsets feature the same hardware and full metal body designs as their manufacturer branded counterparts. Both handsets come with stock Android, which allows them to be updated soon after the Nexus series and before the manufacturers own models.

Considering the size of the file, users are advised to connect to Wi-Fi and ensure their batteries are fully charged before initiating the update. Keep in mind that Android OTA updates are sent out in stages, so it may not be available on your device immediately. If you don't see it in a few days you can try manually checking for the update under Settings on your device.
