Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 was officially announced during the IFA 2014 conference as the company’s successor to the budget-friendly Alcatel OneTouch Hero phablet. You get the same 6 inch full 1080p HD display, with updated internal hardware and the same reliable price.

The OneTouch Hero 2 features an aluminum frame, a 6 inch IPS display with Dragontail glass, 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, a 3100mAh battery, 4G LTE connectivity and a 2GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6592 processor with 2GB of RAM. Other connectivity features include Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi Direct and GPS. You get a a 13 megapixel rear camera with optical image stabilization, HDR and Panorama modes, while a secondary 5 megapixel camera takes care of your selfie snapping needs.
Alcatel has included a stylus with the device, so that it can stay in par with Samsung’s Galaxy Note series. Alcatel has also included a lineup of accessories like the battery-friendly e-ink snap-on display and the MagicFlip LED case, which is similar to the Dot View case on the HTC One M8. The MagicFlip case doubles as a virtual DJ mixing deck.

The Alcatel OneTouch Hero 2 flaunts an EUR 350 price tag in Europe and is already available on the shelves there. No word if it will grace other markets with its presence yet.
