HTC One M8 vs. HTC One (M7) - Video Comparison

HTC One M8HTC One (M7)

HTC managed to reinvent itself with the HTC One, which featured a premium build not commonly seen in the Android world. When the time came for HTC to unveil the successor to the original One, the world was very eager to see how the Taiwanese manufacturer will improve on an already well rounded device

Its great to see how HTC has made subtle improvements to the design of the HTC One, to make an even better device in the HTC One M8. On top of the design changes, HTC has also packed the M8 with more powerful internals, a longer battery life and an extra camera. Unfortunately the quality of the camera itself doesn't seem to have been improved by HTC, instead the company has chosen to include the Duo camera design for various duo effects. The Duo camera also disappointingly marks the end of Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) on the M8 as HTC claims the twin cameras replace the need for OIS.

HTC One M8 vs HTC One (M7)

At the end of the day, we would never recommend picking up the HTC One (M7) over the HTC One M8 especially if you are willing to spend $200 on contract ($650 contract free) for a flagship device. On the other hand if you are looking for a premium smartphone at an affordable price, the One M7 is still a very capable device and should cost you around $480 contract free.
