Microsoft's OneDrive now available worldwide

Microsoft's OneDrive now available worldwide

We recently reported that Microsoft would rebrand its SkyDrive cloud service to OneDrive. OneDrive gives you one place for all of your files, including photos, videos, and documents, and it’s available across the devices you use every day.

Today OneDrive has started rolling out worldwide and will be accessible through OneDrive.com, Android, iOS, Windows, Windows Phone and Mac. For our existing SkyDrive customers will find that their files have been migrated to the new OneDrive experience.

Customers get 7GB of free storage, but Microsoft is also including new ways for customers to earn more storage on OneDrive. Customers who refer friends can now receive up to 5 GB (in 500 MB increments) for each friend who accepts an invitation to OneDrive, and you will get an additional 3 GB for using the camera backup feature, since we want to help make sure you never lose another photo. If you need even more storage you can additionally opt for a new monthly payment plan based on your needs.
