LG G2 mini officially unveiled, coming in March

LG recently teased a scaled down version of their G2 flagship, and today they have officially unveiled the . Like the mini versions from Samsung and HTC, the compact version of LG's flagship is a mid-range device.

The LG G2 mini which runs Android 4.4 KitKat will feature a 4.7 inch touch display with a 540 by 960 pixel resolution, 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded through microSD, an 8 megapixel rear camera, a 1.3 megapixel front facing camera, a 2440 mAh battery and a modest Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM.

There is also expected to be a version of the handset powered by the NVidia Tegra 4i processor, which will make this first phone shipping with NVIDIA's new system chip. A dual SIM LG G2 mini is also expected, which will likely be aimed predominantly in emerging markets.

Its release date is pegged for Russia in March, and then for April in the Middle East, Latin America, Asia, and Europe. All in all, the G2 mini shapes up to be in the lower midrange category, and will hopefully be priced accordingly, especially with devices like the Motorola Moto G leading the charge in that range.
